Discount Louis Vuitton For any musicians who may be moving into college dorms

For any musicians who may be moving into college dorms, this doesn抰 mean you have to put an end to your music recording hobbies. With modern equipment and soundproofing materials, there are many great ways to make a portable and space saving dorm room recording studio that won抰 disturb your neighbors.

The first thing you will need for this studio is a computer. The computer is the core of your recording operation and it will affect how everything else is set up. For the purposes of a recording studio in a college dorm or apartment, you will probably want a nice laptop to save space. Laptops are now powerful enough to handle music recording, especially the higher end models.

The type of laptop you get will affect what software you can use, but either Windows or Mac computers have plenty of good options for recording software. You will have to do some research and some testing to see what the best type of software is for you, and you may want to do this before getting the computer.

Once you have your computer and your main recording software you are ready to start getting some equipment. The main piece of equipment for a small studio should be a MIDI keyboard. This will allow you to record MIDI parts that can be applied to software instruments. With the right software, you can create realistic parts for any instrument you can think of, without having to actually record that instrument in your room.

You may want to look for some good software instrument bundles to be able to handle as much of your work as possible with your computer rather than live recording.

Another vital part of your compact studio is a good pair of monitors. These are going to be the speakers that you hear all of your music on. The key with studio monitors is that they give you an accurate reading of the sound you are producing. Regular listening speakers will change the tone a little bit to make things sounds better. Studio monitors should give you an objective idea of the sound, provided that your room is properly soundproofed and has good acoustics.

The monitors are important because they will inhibit your ability to produce professional mixes if they are not high enough quality. At the very least, they will add time to the production by forcing you to do a lot of remixing.

If you add a few basic microphones to this setup, and have a guitar around to do some guitar parts on a line in, then you have a pretty much fully capable studio for producing high-end music. All of this should not take up too much space, and if you use headphones for as much of the recording as possible, you wont even be making that much noise.

For when you do need to mix with you monitors, some simple soundproofing may be in order. Having a bed or sofa in the corners of your apartment will cut down on the bass that builds up there. The walls can have some soundproofing panels placed on them to dampen reflections of sound. Most of all, windows and doors should be covered with some sort of thick blanket when you are recording, as much of the sound will be adversely colored by them, and they will also allow much of the sound to escape the room.
